It is with great pleasure that we present the awards that Campagnola wines have received from James Suckling this year. The winery’s two Reserve wines, Amarone Tenuta di Missoj 2013 and Classico Riserva 2017 from the Caterina Zardini line, were confirmed as the highest scoring wines, with 94 points, appreciated for their full, enveloping body and balanced taste between red fruit and spice. Excellent wines to drink right away or to keep to be enjoyed on a special occasion. An excellent review also for the Amarone Classico Campagnola 2018, with 93 points, as was the Corvina Vendemmia Tardiva 2020 from the Roccolo del Lago line. Valpolicella Ripasso Missoj, Valpolicella Classico Superiore Caterina Zardini, Valpolicella Ripasso Giuseppe Campagnola, not forgetting Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Riserva Podere Frontino and Soave Classico Monte Foscarino were also awarded.
And it was with immense pleasure that we finally returned to events in person, taking part in the two-day tasting event organized by James Suckling in New York on September 8 and 9 at the Great Wines of Italy 2022, one of the largest and most prestigious events on Italian wine in North America, which was attended by more than 180 Italian producers and 1,800 participants. An excellent opportunity to present Campagnola wines to wine enthusiasts and industry experts at one of the best Italian wine gatherings in the United States.
